The Collins project has a large LINEAGE in this subclade - meaning that members in the cluster match each other so well they must share a relatively recent ancestor, maybe within the last 300 years or so. Some members in this cluster use the name COLLINGS. Their family trees show the usage of both COLLINS and COLLINGS. Some members report a paternal line origin in Devon and Cornwall, in the southwest part of England. One member of this lineage shows his earliest ancestors in the colony of North Carolina.
