We have no records about them, so they are a mystery to us. Thomas the son arrived on board a wool merchant ship into Port Adelaide before 1860. The ship does not appear to have a surviving register. The register may have been burned in a London wharf fire, and the records of where the immigrant ancestor worked were also lost, in a barn fire.
