Hello and welcome to the adjunct website for the Collins DNA project. This adjunct website was launched April 28, 2015.
The DNA project is open to men named Collins (or a related name) or men who have experienced a name change in their very recent ancestry but have a Collins direct paternal ancestor.
What's On These Pages
This website is a repository for:
- Extensive User-contributed family histories and genealogies
- User-contributed data extracts from genealogical records
- Y-DNA project statistics and test results analyses
- Y-DNA Project report archives
As you know, people have historically acquired the Collins name in different ways and from different ethnic backgrounds and they are not all related to each other. This website will treat the DNA project as multiple sub-projects and micro-projects. For now, our genealogy resources will therefore be split across different geographic regions:
- The British Isles (minus Ireland)
- Ireland
- North America (United States and Canada)
- Australia and New Zealand
